With legendary status as an all-terrain slayer and too many accolades to name, The Black Snowboard of Death has been continually morphed and modified in pursuit of perfection. The only element that has remained the same over the years is the name itself. For 2021, this icon of CAPiTA's history has been upgraded again with a new FC Hover Core™ featuring Forged Carbon Rods integrated under the core. This placement shifts compression and expansion properties to yield increased response furthering the anytime, anyplace, all-mountain design mantra which made it famous from the beginning. The contemporary The Black Snowboard of Death features a slightly wider frame with tighter side cut arcs and Death Grip™, a reverse sidecut arc in the midsection that enables the shape to whip into quick turns. With a well-balanced directional shape and high-powered construction, this custom-designed rocket ship allows for incredible control—making you a better snowboarder in variable terrain and changing conditions.
The ALPINE V1 Profile design features mid-body camber with a flat tail and a reverse cambered nose. This allows for tons of pop and stability on hard pack while increasing float and landing power, improving the rider’s performance in deep snow. The camber runs longer in the tail—providing extra power for the ascent or for larger riders drawn to a dedicated wide series.
Enhanced with Forged Carbon rods integrated beneath its core, the FC HOVER Core is extremely light and strong with excellent dampening properties.
For enhanced strength and vibration dampening underfoot.
Grid woven tech tape featuring the response of carbon with the dampness of flax.
Triax/Triax HOLYSHEET™ has higher glass to weight ratio than normal fiberglass.
Impregnated with high performance plant based MAGIC BEAN™ RESIN for the most powerful and dynamic ride.
Exclusively formulated, sintered, ultra-high molecular weight, ultra-high density polyethylene, custom engineered with special additives. Rated for the most depraved speed junkies ONLY.
Aftermarket performance stone grind structure straight from The Mothership.

Great snowboard all around. I ride four days a week for my job as a lift operator supervisor and this board was a great daily driver. The BSOD handled all the conditions of snow decently well and really excelled in choppy late day snow. Due to the lack of snow I only rode it in pow a few days this year. The float was fantastic and the edge to edge activation was super snappy and fun. The only problem I have with this board is that the base is super thin. For only one season of riding it looks like I have ridden it for years. I already got a huge core shot from a rounded rock and a bunch of other little knicks and scratches. As an all mountain board I wish the base and edges were a lot more tough. With the name being Black Snowboard of Death you would think this thing is bad ***. Unfortunately this board is soft and fragile.
I’ve been riding for 12 years, advanced rider. From groomers to powder to back country to a little park we hit it all. This is my first all mountain board, and I will say it’s stiffer than I’m used to (used to more jib/ freestyle boards) but for an all mountain ripper this is EXACTLY what you want. This thing charges so hard, doesn’t miss a beat grabs on groomers and icy patches like I'm on rails. Floats so well in powder, no rear leg pressure needed to keep the nose up it floats on its own. By late afternoon after the lower runs have been tracked out, this board hammers through the “chunder” as you may call it and you lose zero stability. My freestyle board in these conditions gets a little wabbly. The BSOD is a monster. I am so happy with this board it’s never going to leave my rotational assortment of boards.
i cant get enough of this thing. One snowboard for everything! All hail the Black Snowboard of Death.
Perfect, I love it.
