I would rank myself as a strong intermediate rider. I bought this board mid season & got out on it about 8 or so days since. I came from riding a rocker dominant profile so it took a minute to get the feel for turning a camber board again, but once I did… wow. This board chaaaaarges, it holds an edge beautifully & when I put my foot on the gas did it ever go. It handled beautifully, I felt confident in turns & slashes from high speeds & it was the most stable board I’ve rode yet. I didn’t have the balls to ride it hard enough to get it to chatter & I would guess you would have to be riding well over 100K/H before it did. I really improved my switch riding since getting on this board too, the true twin makes it really easy to replicate the turns from your regular stance to switch. Landed my first frontside 180 thanks to this gem! I found it easy to pop it into a press (although maybe a little tiring to hold for long periods of time) & it’s ultra poppy if you want to catch some air time. All around I would say this board is an excellent, bomb proof board for an intermediate lady who’s looking to take her riding to the next level. I would say however, if you’re shopping for your first board, you will likely find this board a bit much. I started on a camber dominant board & they are not very forgiving when it comes to edges, I would hold off on this until you’re feeling confident on a more forgiving profile. That said - this is an excellent board & I’m super pleased with my purchase, I would definitely recommend it! Also, what a bonus that this graphic is so freaking rad. Well done Capita.
I’ve been wanting to try out this board for a few years now and finally decided to give it a go. This board has been great in the park and the mid flex holds up surprisingly well in chowder. My only complaints are as an east coast rider the hills get pretty icy. It holds okay on ice but not as good as other boards I have. Lastly if you love to ride at Mach 10 speeds this board is slow. I would recommend this board it really does it all!
The Birds of a Feather is so sick! It’s a badass board that can handle whatever you throw at it. I love mine for resort riding; you can charge, lay down some carves, and still play around in the park. Great in powder too! Highly recommended!! SO FUN TO RIDE!! I’m 5’2, 120lbs and ride the 144
This board has been great for my everyday board. I love that it is stiff enough to charge around the mountain but flexy enough to have fun and play in the park. I have progressed so much this season on this board! I would highly recommend to anyone from beginner to advance. Love it.
Over the past year, the EETT™ development team at MARS1 has been working to connect you to your board beyond the standard boot/binding interface.
By embedding a super-intelligent Near Field Communication (NFC) chip into the nose of your board, you can now connect your phone to your board for seamless product information, snowboard registration, warranty processing and more.
